A clip to whet your whistle:
Back At The Ranch
[Young!Kirk's turned into Chris Pine, and is being a suave playa at some bar in the middle of nowhere. The females in the audience weep.]
KIRK: Great legs, what time do they open?
UHURA: Get bent, Farmboy.
THe Spock stuff is awesome as well.

Apparently Jim Kirk dresses to the left, as I have just learned from "The Trouble with Tribbles."
That episode is also apparently Jim Kirk's Terrible, Horrible, No Good Very Bad Day.
Listening to him telling Scotty that "No, this isn't off the record!" is hilarious, as is the look on his face when Scotty tells him that they wouldn't start a fight to defend Kirk's honor but they sure as hell would to defend The Enterprise's. :)
I haven't watched TOS is a long time and, of course, have been inspired to do so. Not what I remembered- weirder and way better. To be clear, I ADORED the oriyginal series. But I don't think I really understood it- I was very young when I first saw it. Now that I have adult eyes, it is a very different animal.
For any Trek fans with Netflix, you can instantly watch the entire first season there for free. The imdb has all three seasons but they apparently don't buffer their video and it kind of sucks but, you know, you get tribbles and pon farr and all that good stuff.

I have loved Kirk, Spock and Bones my entire life. I believe that they are my true OT3. I am both extremely excited at the prospect of new fic from the new movie and annoyed that so many haters of the old school Trek will jump on board because Syler is Spock and Kirk is (as always, I MUST add) hot. Also, Karl Urban.
( I have been and always shall be... your friend. Live long and prosper. )
I'm having a squee moment right now. I think I may have to pop one of the movies in. While I decide, I think I may watch the new trailer (see below) a few more times. Just... guh.
Anyone who has Trek fic recs, bring'em here. I can't WAIT.
