I have always thought I should track what movies I've watched but never actually tried to do so.
This year, I will! *nod nod*
1. Hancock
- I actually really liked this movie. It was not what I was expecting and there were certain elements to it that really struck a chord with me.
2. The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor
- No. Evie was totally miscast- I understand why Rachel Weiss chose not to make this film (she had a brand new baby and she didn't want to spend those early months in China, etc- plus the script kind of totally sucked) but why Maria Bello and why the terrible fake accent? Also, the kid cast to play older Alex was AWFUL. Total shovel face- in face, he looked like he was Jonathan and Evie's incest baby instead of Rick and Evie's kid. Bear and I spent the entire movie making incest baby jokes at his expense.
Beyond the casting issues, the story was terrible and the idea of moving the whole thing to China was just ridiculous. It's like making an Indiana Jones film without Nazis- you can do it but it's not the same and most of the time, it just flat out sucks. I will say Brendan Frasier without a shirt will always be a crowd pleaser but the rest of it? No.
3. The Presidio
4. In Bruges
5. The Christmas Cottage
6. Ordinary People
